Do you think that the amount of powder for a washing machine can be arbitrary? Not always such loading is successful - both for things, and for the washing machine. Therefore, you should clearly know how much powder you need to pour into the washing machine.
Norm of powder for washing in a machine
The amount of detergent affects not only how well things will be washed. In order for the washing machine to work without failures, stains are well washed off, and things do not deteriorate, you need to know what is the norm for washing powder in the AGR.
The dosage of the drug is calculated based on such factors:
- Soiled laundry and stain difficulty. Sometimes even a packet of powder is not enough to remove the “heavy” stain - in these cases, bleach and stain removers are indispensable.
- Hardness of waterin which there is a wash. The softer the water, the better the laundry is washed - for this, special softeners (phosphates) are added to modern powders.
Important! Despite its harmfulness, phosphates carefully treat the details of the washing machine, protecting them from scale. This is especially true for washing at high temperatures.
- Amount of linen. Often on the packaging of the powder is written the consumption per 1 kg of dry linen, it is better not to exceed this norm so that there is no increased foaming. If you do not calculate the flow rate and fall asleep a little powder, linen can be poorly washed.
- Laundry program and type of fabric. Factors are not the most determining, rather secondary, but they must be taken into account.
The easiest way to calculate how much powder you need to put in the CM tray is to read the instructions. The pack has detailed recommendations, often in pictures.
Among the common tools, such as Tide, ARIEL, Myth, Persil, Eared Nannies, and others, the standards are as follows:
- For lightly soiled things, you need 150 g of powder per 1 full drum load.
- For too dirty laundry, the manufacturer recommends pouring as much as 225 g of the product.
If you use packs of 400-500 g, then with such "useful tips" they are barely enough for 2 washings. Often, manufacturers intentionally overstate the rate so that the powder runs out faster and you go for a new pack.
Independent experts calculated that you need to add 1 tablespoon of the product (about 25 g) per 1 kilo of dry linen. If you need to wash, for example, 4 kilograms of laundry, it will take only 100 grams of powder. In this case, a small pack of powder is enough for 4-5 downloads - and this is already a saving.
When making calculations based on the mode, pay attention to the amount of water consumed by the machine for a particular program.
Important! Do not exceed the dosage of the detergent also so that there are no stains on the laundry.
The amount of funds depends on the size of the drum, and on the efficiency of the machine. On average, an Indesit or Ariston washing machine uses about 60 liters of water for 5-7 kilos of laundry. If you are not sure that your washing machine uses exactly that much water, take a look at the user manual.
So, for example Bosch WLK2016EOE (6 kg) we will do the calculations.
From the table it is clear that the volume of water varies, based on the mode, from 40 to 64 liters. In this case, you need to calculate the norm, focusing on the maximum volume of the drum. If you want to wash 3 kilograms of things on the standard Cotton program at 60 degrees, you will need 6 tbsp. l powder, and for "Synthetics" with a 40-degree wash - only 3 tbsp. (150 and 75 g of the product, respectively).
Note! If your machine knows how to weigh clothes, then focus on the actual weight of the laundry, not the drum volume. In such washers (LG and other brands), as much water is supplied as how much laundry you load in the washing machine.
Where to put dry powder in a machine
The powder receiver is usually divided into three compartments. The smallest one shows an asterisk or flower - this is the compartment for the air conditioner or rinse aid. The remaining two compartments come with markings I and II, less often - A and B. In the first compartment - A or I - powder is poured only in the mode that provides for preliminary washing. Where does the main wash pour out? Correctly - to department II or B.
Important! If you bought a used machine, the marking on it has been erased, and you don’t know which cells to pour or pour the product into, turn on the quick wash and start the cycle. You will immediately identify the main compartment - water will enter it.
You don’t know if washing powder can be poured into the drum? This is not necessary - send it to the powder collector. And pour a thick liquid washing gel along with the laundry into the drum - this will protect the nozzles and cuvette from blockages.
Follow our recommendations, and washing will be a pleasure, not a concern.
